Alika was just ten days old and this was her first day in the enclosure for us to see. Mama never let her go (and wouldn’t for the next several months), proud daddy Matt was on guard, and her aunties were nearby keeping an eye on things. This was at the Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita, and I was smitten.
