Stephanie (African Elephant)

Stephanie is on her way back to the U.S. after spending two years in the U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Congo.

I met her at the Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita where she is the matriarch to their growing group of elephants. Stephanie is one of the oldest elephants in America (along with Thai from the Houston Zoo who I have also painted).
