Born in 1977, Rudi is now the oldest hybrid orangutan on the planet. He was born before biologists determined Sumatran and Bornean orangutans represented two separate species. Zoos now maintain the separate species in the breeding programs; geography keeps them apart in the wild. Rudi Valentino weighs 276 pounds and has an arm span of 8 feet 2 inches.
These luscious richly-colored giclée prints are from a limited edition of 250, printed to order, and signed and numbered by the artist. Only a small portion of the artist’s paintings are available as prints.
