Ajax (Amur Leopardess) Limited Edition Print

$195.00

I met Ajax at the Santa Barbara Zoo in March 2017. She had arrived from a zoo in the U.K. only days earlier, hopefully to partner and mate with their resident male. Even before I arrived zoo staff told me they considered her the most beautiful Amur leopard they had ever seen. Indeed she has an unusually round soft face.

Her mate to be was Wyatt, a handsome four-year-old. They had been carefully chosen as a couple for their genetic match. Amur leopards are the most endangered of the big cats. When I visited, they were still alternating days in the public outside habitat. I hear they are now inseparable. The long term plan is for their offspring to help repopulate their species in a special reserve set up in their native habitat.

Of course, I couldn’t offer a print of one without the other, too.

These luscious richly-colored giclée prints are from a limited edition of 250, printed to order, and signed and numbered by the artist. Only a small portion of my paintings are available as prints.

Her original oil portrait is 16″x16″ so only the smallest prints are available.
