I’m still counting my blessings after having a stent inserted into my Widowmaker artery last November. Think my thin blood helped me. I can cite the exact date (July 7th) where I had my first tightening-in-my-chest symptom, resolved by a round of belching that allowed me to dismiss it as heartburn. It only got worse from there. (Personal favorite movie line: “Never underestimate the power of denial.” – American Beauty)
Still, I walked out of the hospital feeling great only to be hobbled not 15 minutes after returning home when disentangling my pants’ leg from a neighbor’s cat. Somehow I damaged tendons in my foot that have taken six months to mend. Whew! Grateful to be back to my 10,000 steps!
I had started making these small 11×14 oil-on-canvas panel paintings for my Oct-Dec show in Boulder because they were so inexpensive to ship. While recuperating my foot, I needed to sit to paint, so I made more.
$2000 in out-of-pocket medical costs in the first three months of 2019 are unsustainable for this working artist, so SALE it is. Normally priced @ $750, these portraits are $495 through May 31st, with FREE worldwide shipping.
